Dr Byen is a neighborhood located in the eastern part of Copenhagen, Denmark. The name Dr Byen means "the city of the doctor" in Danish and it was named after the former National University Hospital (Rigshospitalet) that used to be located here.
Today, Dr Byen is known for its modern architecture and urban planning. It is home to several cultural institutions such as the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR) and the Royal Danish Theatre's rehearsal studios. The neighborhood also has residential buildings, offices, and a shopping center.
